Sweet Almond Oil is a clear, delicate, pale yellow oil with emollient, moisturizing and conditioning properties for skin and hair.
It is suitable for dry and itchy skin. It has a fine texture, so it is very easily absorbed by the skin and hair.
It is often used for make-up removal. It has a phagosogenic index of 2-3, so it should be used with caution in cases of acne.
It is rich in vitamins E, A and B, phytosterols and squalene.
It consists mainly of oleic, linolenic and palmitic acids, with smaller amounts of embolic, stearic, palmitoic and arachidic acids.
The almond oil that we offer at ZELIA is enriched with a mixture of tocopherols (vitamin E), which have antioxidant and anti-aging properties.
It is an ideal carrier oil, because it has the ability to carry essential oils more deeply into the skin, so it’s excellent to be used in aromatherapy or as a massage oil or after-bath oil.
It repairs the skin barrier and it is an excellent moisturizer and emollient.
Its frequent use gives a healthy look to skin and hair.
It moisturizes the area around the eyes, as well as dry and cracked skin.
It can be used also as a make-up remover.
It has a phagosorogenic index of 2-3.
Not suitable for people allergic to almonds. Almond oil contains vitamins A and E, omega-3 fatty acids, squalene.
