Board games from Greece Backgammon and Chess

Backgammon is the oldest board game in the world which goes back over 5000 years of history this board game is played between two players. Nowadays it is still one of the most important board games in Greece with many national backgammon competitions. Each player in the two-player game has fifteen stones that move between twenty-four triangles (points) depending on the dice roll. The object of the game is to remove all fifteen stones from the board.
The dice game Backgammon involves a combination of strategy and of course luck. With each dice roll, players have to choose from numerous options in order to move their stones and anticipate possible counter-movements of the opponent.
